Mommy and Sis, xoxoxoxo

Sis and I had our first pedicure today, and it was great. My sweet daughter sat in my lap the whole time I got my nails, done, talking with the other ladies, and holding her pink nail polish that she chose. Then she let them paint her nails, and add hot pink polka dots. She has never been to a nail place before, and she acted as if she knew exactly what she was doing. I loved her sitting in my lap for nearly an hour, in such a girly setting. She's my girl.

When we first sat down the lady next to me looked as if she was getting a little teary eyed. I had noticed some beautiful teen girls, with hair and make-up done, were getting their nails done. She pointed at a blonde teen, and then pointed to Lainey, and said she was that age just yesterday. The girl was going to her senior prom, and her mother looking at Lainey, and then looking at her daugter as a nearly grown woman was touched.

In a blink I will be taking Lainey back for her prom mani/pedi. This is a constant hope and prayer of mine, but I hope that I am given as much time as possible with my children, on Earth as selfish as that is, and I hope that I don't squander it away. In the scheme of things, I have a lot more time to work in my life, than I do to raise and spend time with my kids. With sis sitting in my lap today, I counted my blessings, and enjoyed my daughter. All in the blink of an eye.
