Thankful Thursday

I am thankful that I found the motivation to plant my little garden. It hasn't even been in a week, but I like to look out the window in the morning to see how it is, and I like to water it before I go to bed. It is a nice little distraction, and very calming. At least until I saw that bugs had ate at my leaves, and went "caddy shack" with the pesticide. I know that it is bad, but I bought the organic stuff, well and some 7 dust, but whatever!

I am thankful that some of the seeds I planted are growing! I feel like a 2nd grader that is growing seedlings in a Styrofoam cup. Yay! I bought mostly plants as to try to not over do it for my first gardening experience. I am not sure what seeds are growing, because I didn't write it down like Brian suggested. I thought that was too fussy for a garden. Should have listened to him, he is the organized one.

I am so excited to see those little sprouts. :)

I am thankful that I finally have Mimi's nearly 50 yr old sewing machine. It is in a piece of furniture, and it is completely awesome. It reminds me of Mad Men, and I feel like I need to fix my hair and put on makeup, and have a strong drink and sew. However, the hair and makeup are probably a no go, and the strong drink is up in the air.

I am thankful that sis is proving to be just as smart as Ellis, but she just shows it in her own way. Some birds are building a nest outside of our window, and I showed the kids. I explained that a momma bird was going to lay eggs and then have baby birds. 10 minutes later I went to see what Lainey was doing in my room while I cleaned our bathroom. This is what I saw.

Of all her little people, she got the two "mommas" and the two "babies" that she has. Sweet, smart, cute girl! Thankful for her today :)
